I've been following the discussion around Brandon Bentley's case, and something that's been weighing on my mind is the role his work as a federal informant might have played in his death. It's hard not to consider that his willingness to expose financial misconduct could have put him in a dangerous position. It makes me wonder: Did someone target him because of what he was risking by sharing that information? Losing someone trying to do the right thing is a heavy burden for his family, and it's frustrating that the case hasn't seen any new developments. I just hope that those who hold the key pieces to this puzzle come forward, for the sake of justice and for everyone who loved him.
