Hey everyone, I've been following the discussion about the tragic murder of Charles Shirley in Kansas City and wanted to chime in on an aspect that I think deserves more attention—the role of surveillance in helping solve cases like this. I noticed that the KCPD released some video footage of the suspects fleeing the scene in that blue Toyota Camry. I'm aware that in the River Market area, there are quite a few businesses with security cameras. Wouldn't it be possible for investigators to get additional footage from nearby stores or traffic cams along their escape route?
It seems like there could be more angles or additional clips that can help identify these guys. I know getting access to these tapes might be a tricky process, but if anyone has thoughts on how the community could assist or if there might be legal barriers, I'd love to hear about it.
