I just found out about the tragic death of John "Redd" Young III, and it’s really struck a chord with me. I can't even imagine what his family and friends are going through right now. I’ve read that he was big on his church community and always aimed to lift people's spirits. It makes this situation feel even more senseless. I’ve been reading about the case, and I feel there's more to learn about the relationship between John and Antonio Carter. Did they work together, or was their relationship strictly personal? It’s so devastating to think a disagreement could escalate to something this terrible. The Fourth of July is generally a time for celebration, but it turned into an especially violent weekend in Saint Louis, and John’s story is the one that really stands out to me. My heart goes out to everyone affected. May justice be served, and may John's vibrant spirit be remembered.
