Does anyone else feel like the sentencing in Rivera's case doesn't quite add up? I mean, I understand there was a plea bargain, but 15 years for Allison, given the circumstances of the shooting, seems light to me. And then there's Gardner getting 10 years for burglary – I'm really trying to wrap my head around how these sentences reflect the gravity of what happened. It's really frustrating because Rivera seemed like such a great guy, devoted to his family and community. I can't even imagine how his loved ones must feel with this outcome. Has anyone else followed similar cases and noticed disparities like this? It's so important that we have these discussions and really look at how justice is served in these situations.
