Has anyone else been keeping track of the crime stats in the Historic Northeast area of Kansas City? Joseph Mangol's case really brought it to the forefront of my mind. It's so unsettling to think that his death was the 29th in that area alone for 2020. It makes me wonder if there's something specific that makes this neighborhood more prone to violence, or if it’s just a tragic coincidence. I feel for everyone in the community who’s dealing with this repeated violence—not to mention Joseph’s family and friends. It’s scary to think how common this is becoming. What do you all think? Is there something the city could be doing differently to help reduce these numbers?
