Hey everyone, stumbled upon Shealyn Redricks' case again today and something really caught my attention. It's been over three years since she vanished from Tulsa, and I’m curious—has anyone here followed up on the role NamUs played in this? I noticed her profile was only added in July 2019, which is a whole six months after she disappeared. Is this typical for missing person cases or does this delay suggest anything about the investigation efforts at the time? I feel like this is a piece of the puzzle we might be overlooking, and I’m hoping spreading awareness here will encourage someone with even the smallest detail to step forward. Thoughts?
Has anyone else noticed how little media coverage there’s been on Shealyn Redricks’ disappearance? It's upsetting because I feel like cases involving missing minority children just don’t receive the attention they deserve. Despite her being gone since January 2019, there’s still little to no updates coming through mainstream news outlets. I just learned that her profile was added to NamUs six months after she went missing. It shows there is still effort being put in, but it's frustrating that we aren’t seeing more public pressure or media involvement. I hope the local community in Tulsa is continuing to distribute flyers or host events to keep her case alive in people’s minds. It’s critical to keep pushing for information and encouraging anyone who might know something to come forward. We need to do everything we can to bring Shealyn home. If anyone has updates or ideas on how to keep her name out there, please share.
