I've been following Penny Medina's case, and one detail that keeps sticking with me is how quickly everything unfolded at the apartment that morning. It's so unsettling to think about how fast everything can go from normal to tragic. My heart goes out to Penny's family and friends. I can't even begin to fathom the shock and pain they must be experiencing. What's particularly haunting is how domestic violence can remain hidden until it's too late. I'm really hoping that this case brings more awareness and preventive measures so other families don't have to go through this pain. Also, major respect to the survivor. It takes incredible courage to come forward and share what happened, and I hope they are getting the support and protection they need. I just can't help but think about what more could've been done to prevent this. Hopefully, the legal system will work to ensure justice for Penny, but also focus on preventing this in the future. Would love to hear thoughts on how communities can better intervene before situations escalate this way.
