I've been following Ja'len Scott-Jackson's case closely, and one detail that keeps gnawing at me is the time this happened. 4 a.m. is such an odd time for someone to drive by and start shooting into a home. It makes me wonder if someone was watching the house, or did it happen on a spur of the moment? I can't even begin to imagine what his family is going through, waking up to such devastating news. It's situations like this that really make me think about how important it is for communities to come together and look out for one another. If anyone knows anything, please step forward. No family should have to endure this kind of pain.
It's such a terrible loss to hear about Ja'len Scott-Jackson, and my heart goes out to his friends and family during this unimaginably difficult time. I've been thinking about the time of the shooting—it's so early in the morning at 4 a.m. It makes me wonder if this was premeditated or if perhaps it was a spur-of-the-moment act. Given that someone else was in the house and not harmed, could it be possible that Ja'len wasn't even the intended target? It's baffling and so frustrating that no suspects have been identified yet. I hope the reward being offered might encourage anyone with information to step forward. It just emphasizes again how much work we need to do in our communities to tackle gun violence.
