I just wanted to share some thoughts about an aspect of Shawn Cortez Hackney's case that seems to get overlooked—the influence of community support. It’s incredibly important that the residents in the College Hill neighborhood come together during times like this. I've read that the area can be tough, but that sense of community could make all the difference in bringing forward witnesses or any useful leads. Hackney’s friends and family are going through unimaginable pain, and the lingering uncertainty has to be making it worse. It's crucial that those who might know something find the courage to speak up. I’ve been following this case since it was first reported, and what stands out to me is the level of dedication from both the police and the community groups trying to get answers. They’ve been holding vigils, distributing flyers, and keeping Shawn’s story alive in the media. It's honestly inspiring, but also a stark reminder of how these efforts are still needed because no arrests have been made. If anyone reading this happens to live nearby or knows anything at all, no matter how small, please reach out to the authorities. It's little bits of information that can eventually connect the dots. My thoughts are with Shawn's loved ones as they navigate this awful situation.
