It's been so tough reading about everything surrounding Lamont Pickens' tragic death. I came across some articles mentioning that Lamont was really loved in his community, and he had some close ties with the Old North St. Louis neighborhood. It's apparent his loss is deeply felt by everyone who knew him. It makes me wonder about the community actions or events that might have been held in his honor, and how people are commemorating him beyond just grieving. This tragedy is yet another grim reminder of how senseless violence can tear apart families and communities. It makes you think about how essential it is for communities to come together and push for change and support each other during times like these. My thoughts are with Lamont’s friends and family. How are folks in the neighborhood holding up?

I’ve been thinking a lot about the surveillance footage aspect of Lamont Pickens' case. It’s mentioned in different discussions that there might be video of the area around Hadley Street where the shooting happened. Does anyone know if the police have found anything useful from the recordings? It’s incredibly frustrating and sad to think about the violence that claims lives like Lamont’s. I really hope that if there are cameras nearby, they can help those investigating to get some leads. It’s painful to know there’s a family out there searching for answers and justice for Lamont. Wishing peace and strength to everyone affected by this senseless act.
