I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the community's response to Jordan's tragic passing. It truly highlights how in times of immense sorrow, people come together to support one another. The online fundraiser for the Griffey family shows the depth of compassion and generosity the community holds. It’s comforting to see everyone rallying to help ease the family's financial burden during such a devastating time. It must be incredibly difficult for them, and knowing that so many people care and want to help hopefully provides some solace. It’s moments like these that remind us of the strength found in unity and empathy. My thoughts and prayers are with Jordan’s family and friends.

Yes, our community pulled together and very quickly covered the costs. He had a viewing in our High School gym for us students. It was moving to me, thought I am not family, but we were friends.

Has anyone else been reflecting on the sheer courage it must have taken for Jordan to go out hunting on his own that day? It’s clear he was experienced and comfortable in nature, but going out alone at such a young age shows a level of independence and confidence that’s really admirable. Such a tragic ending for someone with so much spirit. My heart goes out to his family and friends who have to navigate life without him. It’s just a reminder of how fleeting life can be—even amidst the things we love most, like Jordan did with his outdoor adventures. I hope the community continues to rally around the Griffeys and keep Jordan’s memory alive by sharing stories of his adventures and kindness.

Yes, he grew up hunting often and was very confident in himself. He was such a lively kid, and is greatly missed.
