Has anyone else been struck by the chaotic turn of events right after the tragedy with little Benjamin Cope Jr.? The fact that Ashton Cleveland immediately fled the scene and got involved in a hit-and-run is just baffling to me. I can't imagine the panic and fear going through the minds of those involved, but running like that is not only reckless—it's incredibly suspicious. Why not stay and help, or at least explain what happened? It makes you wonder if there’s more to the story than an accidental discharge. My heart goes out to Benjamin’s family; they deserve transparency and justice, and the community does too. Hopefully, the investigation gets to the bottom of this and brings some form of accountability. What do you all think about how gun accessibility might have played a role here?
