In the late summer of 2019, a family's life was disrupted by the disappearance of 17-year-old Carla Mercedes Rodriguez-Ovalle. On August 26, 2019, the teenage girl was last in contact with her mother, at which time she was known to be in Smyrna, Tennessee. At the time she went missing, Carla was described as a Hispanic and White/Caucasian female with black hair and brown eyes.
