Linda Louise Kerr, a 15-year-old from Orlando, Florida, was last seen on February 18, 1976. She left her home on Dawley Street around 4:00 p.m. to visit her boyfriend, who lived just three blocks away. However, she never made it to his house and has not been seen since. Linda left behind personal belongings such as her purse and shoes, leading her family to believe something was seriously wrong. Despite initial assumptions by police that she may have run away, her family remained convinced that foul play was involved.
Ten days after her disappearance, a couple attempted to extort money from Linda's father, claiming they were holding her for ransom. This was later revealed to be a hoax, and the couple involved was arrested but not linked to her disappearance. There were subsequent unconfirmed sightings of Linda, including one claim that she was seen dancing in a bar in Jacksonville, Florida. This bar was frequented by members of a motorcycle gang, leading investigators to speculate that she might have willingly left with them. However, Linda's father strongly believed she would have contacted her family if she were able to, especially on her mother's birthday.
Years later, in 1982, Linda’s brother, Keith Kerr, was convicted of murdering his sister-in-law, which renewed suspicions about his potential involvement in Linda's case. However, no direct evidence was ever found linking him to her disappearance. Despite decades passing, Linda's case remains unsolved, with foul play suspected.
