In the vast and often unforgiving wilderness of Alaska, the story of Kenneth Lee Erlewine's disappearance is a somber reminder of the perils of aviation in the state. On February 1, 1983, 29-year-old Kenneth, also known as Ken, boarded a green and white Bellanca Scout aircraft on skis in Melozi Hot Springs.
