Adrien Asa McNaughton, born on November 4, 1966, was a five-year-old boy from Arnprior, Ontario, Canada. On June 12, 1972, Adrien accompanied his father, Murray McNaughton, his three siblings, and a family friend, Danny Ring, on a fishing trip to Holmes Lake, near Calabogie, approximately 100 kilometers west of Ottawa.
