In the late summer of 1999, Maria Bozi, a 46-year-old Romanian-born British citizen, began a new life in the United States with her husband, David Kent Fitch. The couple, who had married in England in April of that year, settled in the Lakeshore Trailer Village near Boulder City, Nevada, part of the Lake Mead National Recreational Area.
