Michael Merritt, age 40, was last seen in the early morning hours of May 19, 2002, walking east on Weaver Avenue in Emporia, Virginia. Originally from Lawrenceville, Virginia, Merritt disappeared shortly after leaving Greenville Memorial Hospital. He has not been heard from since that morning. At the time of his disappearance, Merritt was 6'1" tall, weighed approximately 172 pounds, and had black hair and brown eyes.
