On April 25, 2014, in Prince George County, Virginia, 42-year-old Alana Renee Cole vanished, leaving behind a community in shock and a family grappling with a terrible loss. That same day, Alana's mother, 67-year-old Lana Sears, was discovered fatally stabbed inside her home in the Beechwood Manor neighborhood.
