In the late summer of 2016, a young man named Orlando Ramirez disappeared from his home in Jerome, Idaho, leaving his family and community with years of unanswered questions. The 22-year-old was last seen around September 1, 2016. At the time he went missing, Ramirez was described as a Hispanic male, standing between 5'9" and 5'10" and weighing between 180 and 190 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, and wears eyeglasses. Distinctive features include a scar on his abdomen and another possible scar on his left calf. Concern for his well-being grew quickly when all communication from him abruptly ceased, a behavior that was considered uncharacteristic.
The circumstances surrounding Orlando Ramirez's disappearance are troubling due to the complete lack of contact since he was last seen. Shortly after he vanished, his phone was disconnected, and there has been no activity on any of his social media accounts. This sudden silence has been a significant source of distress for his loved ones. Ramirez's family has suggested that he might have had plans to travel, possibly to California or Nevada, but this has not been confirmed. The Jerome County Sheriff's Office opened an investigation into his disappearance, considering him to be a missing and possibly endangered individual. Despite appeals to the public for information, the case has yielded very few clues regarding his movements or his state of mind at the time he went missing.
As years have passed since Orlando Ramirez was last heard from, his case remains an open and active investigation with the Jerome County Sheriff's Office. The absence of any significant leads or new evidence has left his family in a painful state of uncertainty. Community members have shared his story in the hope that someone might come forward with information that could provide a breakthrough. Law enforcement continues to ask for the public's help, and anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Orlando Ramirez is encouraged to contact the Jerome County Sheriff's Office.
