Breck McDowell Phelps, aged 68, was last seen on October 1, 2016, while on a fishing trip near Donnell Vista Point in Tuolumne County, California. Phelps had gone fishing on the Stanislaus River, a spot he was familiar with. However, he did not return home as expected. His car, a 2007 Nissan Versa, was later found parked along Highway 108, about a quarter of a mile from the Donnell Vista Point parking area. This location was near a trail that he had used previously for fishing trips.
