Marvin Lee Judy Jr., a 56-year-old man from Charleston, South Carolina, went missing on August 18, 2017, while traveling alone in Norway. He had embarked on a vacation and was last seen in the town of Rosendal. Judy had planned to return to the U.S. by August 28, but he never made it back. His rental car, along with all his belongings, was found at his hotel, leading to concerns that he may have been injured during a hiking trip in the mountainous area.
