In the late summer of 2019, the life of Mark Forrest Ferrell, a 24-year-old man, took a mysterious turn, leaving his family and community in a state of prolonged uncertainty. The last time anyone is known to have had contact with him was on September 29, 2019. On that day, he communicated with his mother by sending her a photograph along with a brief, yet unsettling, text message which stated that he 'had to go traveling.'
