Kwang Sun Kim, a 72-year-old man, was last seen on March 23, 2020, when he left for a hike on Mount Baldy, California. He told his family about his plans and departed early in the morning. Although he is believed to have had some basic camping supplies with him, much of his gear was left behind in his vehicle, which was found parked at Mount Baldy Village along Bear Road.
Despite extensive search efforts, including a large-scale search and rescue operation, no trace of Kwang Kim was found. The area is known for its challenging terrain, and searches were hindered by the mountainous conditions. His disappearance remains unsolved, with no significant clues regarding what might have happened after he set out on his hike. Authorities continue to classify his case as a missing person under suspicious circumstances, and the investigation remains open.
