In the late summer of 2020, 61-year-old Phillip Martin Smith, a resident of Guthrie, Oklahoma, vanished. He was last seen on September 5, 2020, and no one has reported hearing from him since. Smith was a man with distinct features; he had graying hair, blue eyes, and a prosthetic right eye. Tattoos adorned his body, including the names "Nichole," "Kaylee," and "Katrina" on his hands, and images of horse heads, one of a black stallion with two ribbons, on his arms. His disappearance prompted the Logan County Sheriff's Office to open an investigation into his whereabouts. Two days after he was last seen, his car was discovered abandoned with its hood up, adding another layer of mystery to his case. The investigation into Phillip Smith's disappearance took a dark turn as authorities began to suspect foul play. It was discovered that Smith had disappeared along with another man, Frederick Mitchell. Multiple informants came forward with unsettling information, suggesting that both men may have been murdered. These informants alleged that the order came from Phillip's own brother, Mikell "Bulldog" Smith, a man already serving time in an Oklahoma prison for three murders. The purported motive behind this alleged plot was a disagreement over Phillip bringing homeless individuals to their mother's home, with Mikell fearing his mother could contract COVID-19 from them. This information led investigators to a two-and-a-half-acre compound in Logan County known as the "bully farm." This property has been linked to several other missing persons cases, creating a web of disappearances that have troubled the community. Informants claimed that Phillip and Mitchell were invited to a party at this location and were killed there. In the course of the investigation, bone fragments were discovered at three separate locations: the "bully farm" itself, a second site half a mile away, and an oil field lease road near Luther, Oklahoma. Despite these discoveries and the serious allegations, no charges have been filed in connection with the disappearances of Phillip Smith and Frederick Mitchell, and investigators continue their work to identify the remains. The case of Phillip Smith is a complex and disturbing puzzle, leaving a family without answers and a community on edge. The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is also involved in the case, but the trail has grown cold due to a lack of significant leads. The Logan County Sheriff's Office continues to seek any information that could shed light on what happened to Phillip Martin Smith.
