MarÃa Tasej Gonon, a 23-year-old woman from Guatemala, was last seen on September 8, 2020. She had left Guatemala on August 22, 2020, with the intent of crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. MarÃa remained in contact with her family throughout her journey, informing them that she was in a group of 11 people attempting to cross the border near Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
