William Boyd Pendergrass, a 55-year-old man known affectionately as Buddy to his friends and family, was a resident of Kansas, Oklahoma, who often traveled to various areas within Arkansas. He was an enrolled member of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes. In the fall of 2020, Buddy was staying at the Ranch-O-Tel Motel in Rogers, Arkansas.
