Francisco Pimentel, 18, was last seen on August 8, 1976, in Providence, Rhode Island. He had enlisted in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and was ordered to travel to Fort Dix, New Jersey, for basic training. On the day of his disappearance, Pimentel boarded a train at the Providence Amtrak station accompanied by his family, friends, and fellow recruits.
