Yosuke Haga, a 58-year-old tourist from Japan, disappeared on August 21, 1991, while staying in Makena, Hawaii. He was last seen around 4:30 p.m. walking toward the Maui Prince Hotel with plans to view the sunset. Haga, who was staying at the Wailea Resort with his family, had been dropped off earlier that day near the hotel and intended to take a walk along Makena Beach. However, he failed to return to his hotel and did not call for the shuttle as expected.
