On December 16, 2016, 37-year-old Shawna Lee Golba was residing at the Pines Motel in Chicopee, Massachusetts. On that day, she hired a taxi to take her to the neighboring city of Springfield, specifically to the corner of Union and School Streets. This would be the last time she was confirmed to be seen. Her family grew concerned, and on December 27, 2016, she was officially reported as a missing person to the Chicopee Police Department.
