Summary based on the NamUs case record (MP123765)
In early 2023, a 24-year-old woman named Jasmine Harris vanished from Renton, Washington, sparking concern among her family. The precise date of her last contact remains uncertain; her mother reported her missing on March 10, 2024, after not hearing from her for what she described as 'over a year.' While an initial date of last contact was noted as January 1, 2023, the timeline of when she was last definitively seen or heard from is vague, with the possibility that it could have been
a longer or shorter period of time. At the time of her disappearance, Jasmine was described as a Caucasian female with red/auburn hair and hazel eyes, standing at 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 175 pounds.
The circumstances surrounding Jasmine's disappearance are fraught with uncertainty. It was known that she was living a transient lifestyle in the downtown Renton area. The last documented contact law enforcement had with her was significantly earlier, on May 12, 2022, when she was with her boyfriend and contacted by the Bothell Police Department. The considerable gap between this police contact and her mother's report highlights the challenges in pinpointing the exact moment she went missing. The lack of concrete information and the transient nature of her life at the time have complicated the investigation into her whereabouts.
The Renton Police Department officially opened an investigation into her disappearance, with Detective Tracie Jarratt assigned to the case. The case was logged under agency number 24-2646 as authorities began the difficult task of piecing together her last known movements and interactions. Despite the official investigation and the passage of time, the details of what led to her disappearance remained unclear for a period. Ultimately, information came to light indicating that Jasmine Harris had been located and was alive.Last Seen: Jan 1, 2023
