Douglas Mantei, aged 44, was last seen leaving the Wailuku Police Station in Maui, Hawaii, on October 2, 2020. Despite efforts from authorities and his family, he has not been heard from since. Mantei, who was known to frequent the Paia, Haiku, and Kihei areas, was reported missing by a family member on October 13, 2020, after his last contact with them on September 29 of that year. There is speculation that he may have been experiencing homelessness around the time of his disappearance.
