In the winter of 2020, a 14-year-old boy named Bryon Gunter Stoetzel vanished from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bryon, a Caucasian male with brown hair and brown eyes, was last seen on December 29, 2020. At the time of his disappearance, he was approximately 5'1" tall and weighed around 160 pounds. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance began when he walked away from a group home where he was residing and did not return. The clothing he was wearing at the time he went missing is unknown, adding another layer of difficulty to the search efforts. The Oklahoma City Police Department was notified of his disappearance on the same day he was last seen and initiated an investigation into his whereabouts. As days turned into weeks and then months, the search for Bryon continued. His case was entered into the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs) on March 8, 2021, to broaden the reach of the search and to solicit tips from the public. Despite these efforts, little information has surfaced regarding his potential whereabouts or the circumstances that led to him leaving the group home. The lack of new leads has been a significant challenge for investigators. Concerns for his safety have grown with the passage of time, as a teenager on their own is vulnerable to numerous risks. The investigation into Bryon Stoetzel's disappearance remains open, and the Oklahoma City Police Department continues to seek any information that could lead to his location. His case is a somber reminder of the many young people who go missing each year. The overview of this case is one of a sudden departure with no subsequent contact, leaving his family and authorities with many unanswered questions. Without any clear indications of where he might have gone or who he might be with, the case has grown cold, relying on the hope that a new piece of information will emerge and finally bring a resolution to his story.
