Austin Chase, a 36-year-old man from the Tacoma area, disappeared on January 13, 2021, following a police pursuit near Carbonado, Washington. On that day, a silver Ford Escape registered to Chase was involved in a high-speed chase with law enforcement. The pursuit started in Buckley and continued along State Route 165, passing through several small towns before the vehicle crashed over an embankment near Evans Creek ORV Park.
