Brian McAuley, a 43-year-old man, was last seen on November 15, 2021, kayaking near Geiger Key, Florida. He embarked on the trip around 4:00 p.m., but when he did not return, his girlfriend reported him missing to the Coast Guard later that evening. By 6:00 p.m., McAuley's yellow kayak was found capsized and anchored southwest of the channel entering Tamarac Park. Despite an extensive search covering over 1,300 square miles by multiple rescue agencies, no sign of McAuley was found.
