Richard "Ricky" Carter, a 22-year-old man from New Bedford, Massachusetts, was last seen during Labor Day Weekend in early September 1978. Carter, who had recently returned home after serving in the Marine Corps in the Philippines, was living in New Bedford at the time. After finishing his service, he worked as an assistant to his uncle, a horse trainer. Despite these details, there is very little information available about the circumstances of his disappearance.
