Carl Steven Matthews, 36, was last seen on October 5, 1991, in Gulfport, Mississippi. He was at Brady’s Fish Camp, preparing to travel by boat to Cat Island in his 18-foot skiff. Matthews set out alone for the journey, but he never returned. His boat was later found by a shrimper on November 5, 1991, in the Cat Island Channel, but there was no sign of Matthews. Authorities believe he may have drowned during the trip, although his body was never recovered.

At the time of his disappearance, Matthews was described as having brown hair, hazel eyes, and a brown mustache. He was 5'7" and weighed approximately 135 pounds. Despite searches and investigations, no further information regarding his whereabouts has surfaced. The case remains unsolved, and it is still listed as an open missing person case.
