Steven L. Brown, a 41-year-old ferry worker, was last seen on the night of February 18, 1998, during his shift aboard the *Tacoma* ferry, which was traveling between Seattle and Bainbridge Island. Shortly after the ferry departed, Brown mysteriously disappeared, with witnesses reporting hearing cries for help and possibly seeing a light in the water.
