Martha Nelson, a 93-year-old woman from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, was last seen on November 11, 2016, at her home on Golf Course Road. Nelson, who was described as having blonde hair, blue eyes, and standing 5'3" tall, was known to suffer from a medical condition that could impair her judgment. After weeks of no contact, family members requested a welfare check in early December. When authorities arrived at her residence, they found her purse, keys, and vehicle still at the home, but there was no sign of Nelson herself.
Search efforts were extensive, involving local police and Mississippi Homeland Task Force 3, but no trace of Nelson was found. A Silver Alert was issued due to concerns about her safety. At the time of her disappearance, Nelson's son lived with her, but there have been no leads pointing to what happened to her. Despite the large-scale search and ongoing investigation, Nelson remains missing, and her case is still unsolved.
