Lester Youngs Whitmeyer, a 65-year-old man, was last seen on June 18, 2021, near Oakridge, Oregon, after telling family members he planned to visit McCredie Hot Springs, located in the Willamette National Forest. Whitmeyer's disappearance was officially reported on July 2, 2021, after no contact had been made for weeks.
