Rocky Ramirez, a 45-year-old man from Petrolia, California, went missing on August 9, 2021. Ramirez was last seen leaving a residence in Humboldt County around 9:30 a.m. on August 10, heading toward Yreka, California. His last known contact was a phone call at approximately 12:30 p.m. from the Hoopa area, where he mentioned his expected arrival in Yreka by 3:30 p.m. However, he never reached his destination, and no one has heard from him since that call.
Later that same day, at around 5:00 p.m., his silver Volvo XC90 was discovered about 300 feet down an embankment near the Ti Bar River access off Highway 96 in the Happy Camp area of Siskiyou County. There were no signs of Ramirez at the scene, leading investigators to launch a thorough search involving law enforcement, search and rescue teams, dive units, and even air support. Despite extensive efforts, no trace of Ramirez has been found, and his case remains unsolved.
Ramirez was a well-known musician, loved by many, and had a reputation for being responsible and keeping in touch with friends and family. His disappearance, especially just before his birthday, has left his loved ones puzzled and devastated.
