Jason, also known as Jay, has brown hair and blue eyes and is between 5'5' and 5'7' tall, weighing between 140 and 170 pounds. He has several distinct tattoos, including an Iron Cross on his right upper arm and the words 'Cruss 1-11-12' on his right forearm, as well as a scar on his abdomen.
The circumstances surrounding Jason's disappearance are complex and have deeply concerned his loved ones. He was in the process of a divorce from his wife of fourteen years, with whom he has a son. There were differing accounts regarding his personal struggles; his wife mentioned he had issues with substance abuse, a claim his sister disputed. The last communication his wife had with him was a week before he went missing, during an online mediation for their divorce proceedings. The days leading up to his disappearance were reportedly unsettled, with one account mentioning a bizarre story he told about being put in a barrel and rolled down a hill by police, leaving him looking rough with a bleeding knuckle.

A significant reward of up to $30,000 has been offered by the FBI for information leading to his location and recovery. The search for Jason has been complicated by the discovery of his personal belongings scattered across four different locations: Fayetteville, Arkansas; Benton County, Arkansas; Madison County, Arkansas; and Eagle Rock, Missouri. His car was found abandoned at the Northwest Arkansas Mall in Fayetteville, and his motorcycle was located at his home in Madison County. Despite numerous interviews and searches conducted by law enforcement and volunteers, his phone has never been found, though it last pinged in Madison County on January 27, 2022.
