In the summer of 2022, a talented 31-year-old musician named Lorenzo Anthony Holmes, Jr., from Tennessee, vanished while working as an entertainer aboard the Holland America cruise ship, the Koningsdam. On the night of August 8th, as the ship sailed through the Gastineau Channel in Juneau, Alaska, fellow passengers reported hearing screams coming from the water.
