Rory James Schaffer, a 45-year-old veteran, was last seen on November 1, 2022, in Newnan, Georgia. His 2018 silver Dodge Ram 2500 was found abandoned in Newnan on November 9, 2022, leading to concerns about his safety. Schaffer, who had served as a submariner in the U.S. Navy, was reportedly struggling with PTSD at the time of his disappearance. Shortly before going missing, Schaffer experienced the loss of his pet, Rosie, which added to the emotional challenges he was facing.
