Adair Townsend was reported missing on April 8, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, and had not been seen since approximately noon on the same date. An investigation confirmed that Adair was last seen on CCTV video at the Pictou County Landfill in Mount William, Nova Scotia on April 9, 2024 at 5:26 a.m. Subsequent searches were conducted with the assistance of an RCMP police service dog, helicopter and drone from the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association.
