In the autumn of 1979, 52-year-old Marion Marcella Rosamond Thiessen was last seen in Elliot Lake, Ontario, on the first of October. It wasn't until November of that year that her husband reported her missing to the authorities. At the time of her disappearance, Marion was described as a Caucasian female, standing 5'4" tall and weighing 165 pounds, with a heavy build.
