On May 21, 1997, Ardavan TAHERZADEH last communicated with his parents while he was backpacking in India, indicating that he wished to explore more of the country. Ardavan was a University of British Columbia student who took a year off to teach English as a second language in Korea and travel extensively in Northern India.
