In the spring of 2025, the serene waters of the Georgia Strait off the coast of British Columbia became the backdrop for a bewildering mystery. Amber Maria Nitchman, a 34-year-old experienced sailor, vanished on or around May 15th from Nanaimo. She had set sail from Nanaimo alone on her 10-metre white sailboat, the Gypsy Soul, reportedly heading for Texada Island.
