On Friday, May 19, 1967, at about 06:10 A.M,. Victor Morris left his cottage on the South Shore of Lake Nipissing in an 18 foot Geisler Cedar Strip boat with an 18 hp motor. On Sunday, May 21 1967, the boat was recovered on Manitou Island in Lake Nipissing. The boat was partially burnt and the motor showed signs of having exploded.
