As requested, a synopsis was created using only information from online sources. In a case that has left a community searching for answers, 15-year-old Jason William Boulton of St. Catharines, Ontario, was last seen on August 29, 1989. The young male was fishing at a popular spot near the Heywood Generating Station in Port Dalhousie, Ontario, when he reportedly fell into the water and was swept away by the strong current of Twelve Mile Creek. It is believed he may have been carried out into Lake Ontario. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as a Caucasian male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing at 5'3" and weighing 110 pounds. An immediate search was launched, involving an Ontario Provincial Police dive team, the Canadian Coast Guard, the Niagara Police Marine Unit, and local firefighters. The search was challenging due to the turbulent waters and poor visibility. His parents reported him missing that evening when he failed to return home, which was not initially alarming as he often spent the day fishing before visiting with friends. Despite extensive search efforts by authorities and civilian volunteers, Jason was not located. A few days later, a body was discovered in Lake Ontario, but it was determined not to be Jason. The disappearance of Jason William Boulton is classified as a case of a lost or injured missing person, and he is presumed to have drowned. His body has never been recovered. In the absence of their son, his family eventually held a funeral service and his name is engraved on the headstone of his grandparents. The case remains an unsolved tragedy, an overview of a young life cut short by a terrible accident, leaving a family and community with the enduring pain of not having a final resolution.
